DRF Awarded MAS Quality Framework for Individuals

Debt Resolution Forum awarded MAS’s quality framework accreditation for CertDR which provides learners with knowledge needed to work at advice level.

The Money Advice Service (MAS) has announced (Tuesday 10 February 2015) that fee-charging debt solutions training, standards and monitoring body the Debt Resolution Forum (DRF) has been awarded MAS’s quality framework for individuals, following its achievement, in January 2014 of MAS’s quality framework for Organisations.

February 2015 has now seen DRF achieving the MAS Quality Framework for Individuals for their BTEC Advanced Certificate in Debt Resolution. CertDR material was vigorously mapped and assessed against the quality framework against the six activity sets (initial contact, support work, advice, casework/specialist, court representation and supervision). DRF achieved the accreditation with the activity set of Advice Work being awarded for CertDR.

David Mond, DRF Chairman quoted “ The CertDR is the only qualification specifically developed to meet the needs of Advice Work “

The accreditation is a great achievement for DRF and they are now looking to the future of debt resolution education and beginning to develop a Diploma in Debt Resolution over the next 6 – 12 months. The MAS accreditation demonstrates CertDR has met MAS’s high standards and provides learners with the knowledge needed to work at an advice level.
